Black Star Lines Cotton Bandana

All Very Goods

120044

From All Very Goods: Ghana claimed its independence from Britain in 1957. The new government placed a black star in the center of the country’s new flag in part as a tribute to Marcus Garvey and his goal of pan-African unity. A black star is also at the center of the Adinkra symbol for transformation.

All Very Goods understands that representation matters. We imagine an alternate universe where the celebration of diverse cultures is a normal part of daily life; where our history, myths and stories are woven into the things we use and wear everyday. We then create, make and sell these things here. The hope is that by doing so, we can help make this world a little better. We are Black woman owned and operated. We design all of our products in house through our design studio: Aoko Studio.
