From Kate Kilmurray: These handwoven potholders are a practical and elegant addition to any kitchen. Each is made with love in Ojai, California, bringing time-honored weaving techniques into harmony with contemporary color and design. They make a beautiful gift or accent to your own home.
Kate Kilmurray is a California-based fiber artist. Coming from a long line of women who worked with their hands, which in turn inspired Kilmurray to pursue a career in the visual arts, they practice weaving as a form of embodied meditation. "Making beautiful handwoven textiles helps me to tap into my inner stillness and creativity; and I teach women to do the same—to slow down, engage the rhythms of the body, and tap into a state of wholeness and flow."
