From Helena Simon: The white poppy symbolizes peace and is associated with compassion, remembrance, sympathy and rest. Adorned with antique hand-dyed stamens of yellow and apple green, this luminous bloom features layers of pillowy soft, white silk organza, silk habotai and silk charmeuse petals and a chartreuse silk velvet leaf. The poppy is the birth flower of the month of August and the state flower of California.
